Join us on our family friendly half day tour as we paddle our way to the famous Split Apple Rock (Tokangawha). Take in the sights of nesting seabirds, caves and golden sand beaches. Stop at Split Apple Beach to stretch your legs, have some food (kai) and go for a swim. This is the perfect tour for those with junior travellers or those wanting a more leisurely pace.
Our children’s lead rein rides are perfect for younger riders aged 4-12. We have lovely natured and patient horses ready to provide a fun and memorable horse riding experience.
This 45 min session per child, allows children to brush their horse, have a short introduction in our arena to ensure they are feeling comfortable and then a journey over our farm, all safely led by one of our friendly guides.

Be mesmerised by the secluded golden sand beaches as you kayak along the Astrolabe Roadstead. Stop for lunch at one of these beaches and enjoy a swim and a short walk to truly appreciate the breath taking scenery surrounding you. Visit the very special Adele Island – a protected bird sanctuary that echoes with the sound of a multitude of native birds and home to the playful and curious NZ fur seal (kekeno). As the afternoon sea breeze builds, conclude your day by sailing your kayak across the bay back into Mārahau.
